    " What are the 5 W questions? Why use them when reading?"

  The five W's are Who, What, When, Where, And Why. Another of the words, an outsider, is How. I guess his W is silent? Maybe he's really Whow. Who knows? The reason for using them is to further  understand what you're reading. It also challenges you to to think further into a subject. For example, if you're reading a book on dogs, the question for "what" would be "What is the book about?" The answer would be "dogs."

   It's not only books and reading that uses the W words and how. Movies can use them as well.

• "What is the cause of this?"
• "Who is affected by this?"
• "Why did this person do this?"
• "When was this done?"
• "Why did this person cause that to happen?"
• "How did this person cause that?"
