I didn't do very much for my thanksgiving weekend. The most I did was talk to my friends and boyfriend online. I also played with my new kitten, Kitt. Nan and I watched lots of movies. Star wars was one of them.

The reason I find school difficult is...
Actually... This is going to be what I don't like about school... (Prepare for a rant)
For starters, school is incredibly boring. Especially for me. It's the exact same thing day after day after day, and really there's nothing fun! All day I'm on the computer, and all the sites that I need to use for projects and work seem to always be blocked because idiots decide to go on Facebook instead of doing work. I can't even open MS paint and draw!
It's too hot in school! I end up using my paper assignments as fans most of the time, and apparent;y were not allowed to have a fan in here because the district will not allow it. I'm always sweating up a storm and I hate it!
I don't like being around people. I hate it. Half the people in my class don't listen to me and are nothing like me.
I'm also tired of never finding anyone who likes the same things as I do. I say 'anime', and nobody knows what the hell it is, or they say it's stupid. I'm sick of it! I have more friends online that know me better than any of the friends I DO have.
Speaking of online, shouldn't we be utilizing the Internet a LOT more? I would have to say that my teacher does do some cool projects using the internet and most all of our work is on the computer. But, Half the sites with actual facts and information are blocked, and the sites with the images I need for projects are blocked as well. What ever happened to the information highway? Am I supposed to go to a badly outdated book or something? Instead of regulating ALL sites, why not just have the dang teacher WATCH their kids instead. I can say my teacher does her job , -I'm always hearing her correct kids in my class-
And why don't you block the sites that actually are worthless such as craigslist! Are we able to get the stuff from school? NO!What good is it to be able to look up things on Craigslist but not be able to access any Wiki sites? I know my teacher is very frustrated with this as well. Let us have facebook, where we can at least DO something with our time! I mean, what else can we do when our work is done? I usually come up with my best stories talking to friends on facebook, therefore helping my writing skills, my spelling and grammar,-writing a story and posting it as a note- my communication skills -when talking to friends-, debating skills, -when in an argument- Planning, and organization, saving money -playing farmville-. Why block something that can actually help me during school?
Another thing. Why put so many of us in such a SMALL classroom!? We were moved from a much larger classroom that actually had enough computers for all of us. The class there now is smaller than ours, so why aren't they in here? We don't have enough computers in here. And if you're going to put us in here, with inadequate computers, at least send someone to actually fix them when they break! Yes, our computers keep breaking. Blue screens of death mostly. But dear god, the techs in this district suck! The one who came to make sure I wasn't a hacker didn't even know how to open the Internet history for God's sake! Oh yes, they thought I was trying to do something bad because every site I went to to get an image for a project was blocked. And you know what? How am I supposed to do a project I can't get pictures for?! I mean comon, I know there's some bad sites out there but we're not children! We're young adults! WE can -mostly- be trusted, and for those who can't be? Don't give them Internet! Stop making the rest of us suffer for their stupid mistakes and cut us some slack! We're not all pot-heads, we don't all do drugs, we don't all drink or smoke or any of that bad stuff, so stop treating us all like we're the same!!
I think I've ranted enough...for now.

Problems of being on my own - 4/12/11
When living out on my own, there will be lots of different problems that I might come across. For instance, no job is typically safe forever. I could possibly get laid off or fired, and no job means no income, meaning no way to pay my bills and expenses. Another speedbump would be unexpected medical bills. Breaking a bone, needing surgery, that al costs money, and the insurance I have may not cover what Is needed. I could possibly also live in an area known for disasters, such as tornadoes, or if I live on the west coast, earthquakes. East coast has hurricanes.
I could also have something stolen from me, or I could be sued. There are many different things that could happen to me, and I should try my best to be ready for them.

3/15/11 Events in Japan
Japan, one of the most important counties, has had an earthquake, and then, caused by the earthquake, a tsunami. Lots of people have died so far, over 1,000 have died, and they expect that toll to raise to at least 3,000. The earthquake, registered as 9.0, caused major damage in most of the country. if it had just been the earthquake, things would have turned out much better, but the earthquake caused a Tsunami, a high tital wave, which hit cities such as Sendai Japan.
Many people all over the world, including myself, have friends or family in Japan, creating nervousness and worry all around the word for them. For example, My own friend, Daichi, who was born in Sendai Japan, and moved here when he was eight, has an older brother who was in Sendai at the time. At this time, there's been no word from him. Another friend, Seno, was also from Japan. While he currently lives in Another country, his family is in Japan.
Japan is also a place where a great deal of imports come from. Electronics, matierials, and the like. The US is not the only place affected by this great tradegy.
However, they are already rebuilding. Hopefully, everything can go back to close to how it was before. All we can do now is offer one of our greatest allys our support and all the help we can.

1.25.11 My own topic for a blog
The topic chose for my blog today is on the Legend of Zelda series. The legend of Zelda games began with the original legend of Zelda game for the SNES system and continued well into the future of gaming with the upcoming game, called Skyward sword, for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo Gamecube. The same plot has pretty well be used throughout the series, starting with the kidnapping of the Princess Zelda. Your character, Link, then sets out on a quest to save the young princess from certain death. The game usually takes place in a land called Hyrule, however a few games, such as Link's awakening, Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker, do not. (Link's awakening takes place on the island of Kolith, Majora's mask, in Termina field, and Wind Waker in the Great Sea.)
There are currently fifteen games released in the United States, many more having never been released outside of Japan.
The games I am currently playing within this series are Majora's mask, Spirit tracks, Ocarina of time, Wind Waker.
With many popular game series, there also have a few fan-made memes, such as a story created by an avid fan, Titled "The drowning of Ben." This story goes on to tell of how a boy, who at the time, had been in college. He had gotten a used Majora's mask game at a garage sale and took it home to play. Upon playing it, however, the yong man realized that this was no ordinary game. His character kept dying, and thing that could never happe in the real game wouold happen. It was revealed, by a series of videos he made using a computer program, that this game was haunted by the spirit of a boy named Ben, who had been drowned. This evil spirit even went as far as to take over his computer, messing with the young man's head until he went insane, almost commiting suicide. The Spirit would play games with his head, sending him nightmares of events that happened within the game, such as being followed by the creepy elegy statue and having the game's main character, Link, burst into flames, cry out in pain for no reason, become horribly distorted and warmed and messing with the actual game itself. For years, many people believed this horror story to be truse, including a few of my own friends. While this makes for a wonderful horror story, the creator of the story and videos himself has finally come out and revealed this story to be nothing more than his mind creating a stoy that will, most likely, live forever withing the walls of a horror story genre, Creepypasta.
There are actually more than one version of Link. Besides changing from game to game, he also has his dark doppleganger, Dark link, and Link's three alter entities, Blue Link, Violet Link and Red Link. There is also the possibly evil Fierce Diety Link and the Masked forms of Deku Link, Goron Link and Zora Link. My favorite out of these Links would be, hands down, Blue Link. His element is water. I normally play as Blue when my friends and I pick characters to role-play as. Daichi usually is Dark Link. I like pairing those two Links together most.
Legend of Zelda, by far, is my favorite series.

1/18/2011 re-evaluating goals
Not long ago, our class was asked to write down our long and short term goals. Today, we were asked to re-evaluate those goals and write them down. My first goals were:
-Short term-
Get a job
Learn more about computers and computer design
-Long term-
Graduate high school
Graduate college
For now, my goals have not changed. I still do want to get a job and learn more about computers and their designs. I do still want to graduate high school and college as well.
